On occasion of Milan Design Week Italian company Santambrogiomilano showcased the evolution of the Simplicity project, which in 2009 set itself an ambitious goal: architecture. Glass, the absolute protagonist, shapes the load bearing beams, floors, roofs and the colorless walls, the material principle justifies the conception of the whole habitat. The glass reflects the flash of the flame, the green of the vegetable garden, the pink of the seafood, the red of the cuts of meat. A meeting of transparencies that heightens the senses!

Flocke is the new celebrity polar bear cub who was born by polar bear Vera at the Nuremberg Zoo in Germany. Since Knut has grown up and not cute anymore, Flocke has stolen all the limelight from photographers. These photographs of ’spirits’ are taken from an album of photographs unearthed in a Lancashire second-hand and antiquarian bookshop by one of the Museum’s curators. They were taken by a controversial medium called William Hope (1863-1933). Born in 1863 in Crewe, Hope started his working life as a carpenter. In about 1905 he became interested in spirit photography after capturing the supposed image of a ghost while photographing a friend. He went on to found the Crewe Circle – a group of six spirit photographers led by Hope. When Archbishop Thomas Colley joined the group they began to publicise their work. Following World War I support for the Crewe Circle grew as the grieving relatives of those lost to the war sought a means of contacting their loved ones...

I thought this one was funny and rather ingenious, but I suggest you stake out your target office workers keyboard before trying this funny office prank.
Buy a cheap or broken keyboard that looks similar so that you can whip out the good keyboard when the boss comes looking.

A regular pool in a skatepark painted by gifted artists. The work of these guys is just amazing! They transformed a regular pool in the Skatepark of Lugano, Switzerland, in a work of art. A big Octopus ready to hold skateboard tricks. The group behind this is NEVERCREW’S,a group of artists that do murales, graphics, and other expression forms such as video, comics and sculpture.

What could be the world’s most expensive wallpaper made of? Of money, obviously! I just came across an interesting post about the Money Pubs in the US where money is being put on the walls, dollar bill by dollar bill. The two money pubs mentioned are the No Name Pub that started in 1931 in Big Pine Key, FL as a general store and the McGuire’s Irish Pub that opened in 1977. In the 70’s and 80’s, the No Name Pub became widely famous because of Jimmy Buffet popularity. People started coming and so their money and that money started being put on the walls, dollar bill by dollar bill. The thirty year results can be seen in the pictures. Startlingly, there is over $750,000 in singles hanging on the walls and from the ceiling.
On the other hand, McGuire’s Irish Pub has an interesting story with money wallpapers. Molly, the Pub’s first waitress, took her first dollar tip and stapled it on the wall. Since that day, there has been over $550,000 in dollar bills stuck on the walls and ceiling. The best thing is that these dollar bills have been artistically stuck on the walls and ceiling...
